The LOFAR LBA Sky Survey: Deep Fields

چکیده
We present the first sub-mJy ($\approx0.7$ mJy beam$^{-1}$) survey to be completed below 100 MHz, which is over an order of magnitude deeper than previously achieved for widefield imaging any field at these low frequencies. The high resolution ($15 \times 15$ arcsec) image Bo\"otes 34-75 MHz made from 56 hours observation with LOw Frequency ARray (LOFAR) Low Band Antenna (LBA) system. observations and data reduction, including direction-dependent calibration, are described here. a radio source catalogue containing 1,948 sources detected area $23.6$ deg$^2$, peak flux density threshold $5\sigma$. Using existing datasets, we characterise astrometric uncertainties, finding positional uncertainty $\sim1.2$ arcsec scale about 5 per cent. available deep 144-MHz data, identified counterparts all 54-MHz sources, produced matched within optical coverage 829 sources. calculate Euclidean-normalised differential counts investigate low-frequency spectral indices between 54 144 both show general flattening in lower $\sim-0.75$ densities 100-1000 $\sim-0.5$ 5-10 mJy, due growing population star forming galaxies compact core-dominated AGN.

Scientific goals of the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey
UKIDSS is the next generation near–infrared sky survey. The survey will commence in early 2004, and over 7 years will collect 100 times as many photons as 2MASS. UKIDSS will use the UKIRT Wide Field Camera to survey 7500 square degrees of the northern sky, extending over both high and low Galactic latitudes, in JHK to K=18.5 (over three magnitudes deeper than 2MASS). UKIDSS will be the true nea...
متن کاملLOFAR/H-ATLAS: A deep low-frequency survey of the Herschel-ATLAS North Galactic Pole field
We present LOFAR High-Band Array (HBA) observations of the Herschel-ATLAS North Galactic Pole survey area. The survey we have carried out, consisting of four pointings covering around 142 square degrees of sky in the frequency range 126–173 MHz, does not provide uniform noise coverage but otherwise is representative of the quality of data to be expected in the planned LOFAR wide-area surveys, a...

We present the discovery of two brown dwarfs in the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey (UKIDSS) Deep Extragalactic Survey (DXS) Data Release 2. Both objects were selected photometrically from six square degrees in DXS for their blue J − K colour and the lack of optical counterparts in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Stripe 82. Additional optical photometry provided by the Canada-France-Hawaii T...
متن کاملThe Sloan Digital Sky Survey
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey is an ambitious, multi-institutional project to create a huge digital imaging and spectroscopic data bank of 25% of the celestial sphere, approximately 10,000 deg2 centred on the north galactic polar cap. The photometric atlas will be in 5 specially-chosen colours, covering the π ster of the Survey area to a limiting magnitude of r′∼23.1, on 0′′ . 4 pixels, resultin...
متن کاملThe ADS All-Sky Survey
The ADS All-Sky Survey (ADSASS) is an ongoing effort aimed at turning the NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS), widely known for its unrivaled value as a literature resource for astronomers, into a data resource. The ADS is not a data repository per se, but it implicitly contains valuable holdings of astronomical data, in the form of images, tables and object references contained within articles...
